A “Piece” of the Sermon
…because thieves and bandits look out for themselves, any generosity is joined with the question “what’s in it for me?” Any signs and wonders are joined with the questions “will this make me look better? Will this bring me more power, more praise?” These are not questions that the church should be concerned with. The church, and everyone in it, should be focused on cultivating, on growing our ability to be generous and our ability to focus on those in need.
